The Cloud, and Beyond the Infinite is a video installation with real-time virtual simulation.
Combined with enhanced rendering engines and high definition visual representations, the era of immersive virtual environment - the Metaverse - is arriving. Yet behind the dazzling and realistic visuals are continuously expanding data centers, more GPU processing and power consumption, and the ensuing heat and carbon emissions. As the Metaverse becomes better and more liveable, our physical environment will gradually deteriorate. Yang chose to depict an immersive virtual world in which a circulation of clouds exist in a new context.
